We’re kicking off Halloween week with a super fun themed styled shoot! This Slytherin House inspired shoot is the perfect mix of beautiful and edgy. And the details? Perfection! Which house are you in?
“I collaborated with Glamour & Grind Events to create this gorgeous Harry Potter inspired styled shoot. Capturing the magic of House Slytherin, this styled shoot kept it’s theme while maintaining the elegance of a wedding day. The color scheme of hunter greens, muted greys, and pops of silver gave this shoot the glamorous edgy look reminiscing the cunning wizardry House.
The venue for this styled shoot was Haus 820 in Lakeland, FL. Haus 820 provided us with gorgeous white-wash brick walls for all of our indoor details. Each photo was conceptualized with the idea of romanticizing the kitschy trend of geek weddings and staying far away from the ‘comic book’ theme that most portray.”
The hairstylists and makeup artists from Tousel & Tease Beauty Parlor did such an incredible job on our Slytherin model, Jessica. Her and our fashion bride, Amber, were both wearing beautiful dresses from The Dressing Room Celebration. The green dress worn by Amber was provided by Dalliance Bespoke by Michelle, and Amber provided her own hair and makeup. The gorgeous raw jewelry worn by each model was provided by Olivia Mar.
The gorgeous florals were provided by Nikki Fernandes of Barrington Hill Weddings & Events. All of the arrangements featured beautiful greenery & neutral whites. The bouquets were large works of art, and were full of beautiful stems that accented the theme perfectly with greenery like Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.
The furniture rentals provided by Flock Decor, and the tabletop rentals provided by Stag and Doe Vintage were absolutely gorgeous. From the silver tableware to the stained colored glasses, everything matched so beautifully.
The four-tiered cake provided by Kristen Marie Cake could not have been more perfect. The square layers were stacked in twos, with a beautiful midsection decorated with florals and silver snitches. The two bottom layers had a gorgeous hunter green ribbon accenting them, and the top layer had a silver bling wrap. All of these details combined made a gorgeous Slytherin cake that any Harry Potter fan would adore.
The stationery for this shoot could not have been more perfect. Kimberly of Bliss Creative Atlanta provided the paper goods, including invitation pieces, table numbers, menus, and place cards. The beautifully elegant greenery design of the invitations was paired with hunter green envelopes and gorgeous House Slytherin gray wax seals. Each piece had modern watercolor designs that tied the color scheme together.
No longer shall geek weddings be associated with kitschy themes. All of these details together created a beautifully elegant and romantic shoot that had the perfect subtle hint of ‘geek wedding’.”
